1. INTRODUCTION There is also a way to remove processes like DNS from the system. Start..Admin..Services. Then turn "Startup type" to "Disabled", and stop the process.

You can find out which .exe is associated with a service by right clicking. Eg: I right clicked on DNS Server Properties, and confirmed that the process is DNS.EXE.
